Water Level Control


Two identical capacitance probes offer greater control:

  • Up to 5 switch points (High level, 1st Low Level, 2nd Low Level, etc) trigger feedwater, alarms or lockouts.
  • Software compares readings of identical probes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Software compensates for steam surging/swelling to prevent shutdowns during transient conditions.



The Autoflame system will dynamically adjust required water level to account for water expansion in a steam boiler. This adjustment reduces burner cycling, thereby reducing fuel usage and unneeded 2nd low warnings.

Maintaining proper water levels is critical in managing an industrial or commercial boiler. By adding the expansion board to the Mk7 Controller and then selecting the correct ancillary parts, automated Top Blowdown, TDS and Bottom Blowdown can be implemented at a fraction of the cost of other systems. 



Top Blowdown drains water near the surface based on Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) readings from a probe.  The system drains until water reaches prescribed TDS levels or at timed intervals.

Bottom Blowdown removes sludge buildup at the bottom of the boiler by rapidly draining water. The system drains based on boiler actual usage intervals or at timed intervals.
